Snowflake Time

20121218-090519.jpg

It’s official, I should have gotten a flu shot. Been out of commission for some time now, which is good in the sense that I can make tons of snowflakes for decorations, but bad because I still can’t breathe out of my nose. Pretty sure that Rudolph and I are twins separated at birth.

Anyway, I learned awhile ago how to make six sided snowflakes. I never knew how people did it. Mine always looked sad, but I figured out, it’s all in the folding. Check it out:

And voila! Fancy snowflakes to put on presents, on windows, or just on walls to make it look more festive.

Easy Ribbon Bows

I love presents. I love wrapping presents. So tis the season for me to make bows.

Took 10 strips of the same ribbon, all the same size and glued them into a loop. Then glued each single loop to each other so they made a flower. Found a shiny red button and there you go! Easy christmas bow for a present.

Excessive Christmas Planning

I should probably actually have people to have a party with before I plan the party, eh?

I know Thanksgiving hasn’t even happened, but I can’t stop pinning things to my Party Ideas board on Pinterest. I have pseudo planned a party (in my head, of course) and can’t wait to make everything. Of course, that means I actually need to plan a party now (probably won’t happen). That’s the problem with Pinterest, you pin all these things and most of the time never do any of it.

So I’m hoping this at least lends itself to decorating the house in an astronomical amount of holiday spirit. Maybe I’ll even make myself a Mrs. Claus outfit and wear it around the house for fun.
