Oh, how I’ve missed Vermont. The sweet smell of cows on a fall evening, the lush rolling landscape, and the abundance of Ben & Jerry’s. Just kidding, I don’t miss the cows so much.
Luckily I went on a road trip with a friend to Manchester, Vermont. Half a commercial landscape of designer outlets, half small town with the coolest bookstore ever!! Go to Northshire Books, just do it.
Started with pasta on pizza. Yes, you read that right. Chicken Alfredo pasta on top of a pizza. Check the picture if you don’t believe me. Or just go to Christo’s.
The best stop was dinner though – Thai Basil. Their martinis are delicious! And their wonton soup was perfect. Get the Drunken Noodles with chicken. We tried to be cool and get a spice level four (it goes up o five) and almost died. I could handle it, don’t get me wrong. But it was still foolish.

What exactly are the drunken noodles?
It’s a delicious spicy Thai dish with rice noodles, soy, garlic, Thai basil, and tons of seasonings. As deceiving as the name is, there is (sadly) no alcohol in the dish.
It certainly sounded intriguing 🙂
